Local track Medina TT has come to a close for the '06 season. With only 5 races on their schedule, it's important to attend all 5 to compete for top honors in the classes. The Wyman boys did pretty well considering they missed one race.

Cody- 80cc- 4th
Travis- 250 Am- 6th
Travis- Open Am- 5th
Kyle- 250 Expert- 3rd
Kyle- Open Expert- 4th

Aug. 5th, Wymans traveled to Marion, Ohio for the cushion 1/2 mile and cleaned up in every class they entered. 1st place for Cody in the 100 class, 1st for Travis in 505 Am and Open Am, 1st for Kyle in Open Pro on the Harley 750 and 1st in Open Money! Nice!!
The following weekend we visited our Canadian neighbors in Sarnia for the Festival of Horsepower! Wide Open Wyman (Cody) finished 1st in the 85 class, Travis nailed his Open Intermediate heat with a win on the Rotax, but came back in the pits with a loud knocking noise, so had to ride his backup 450 DTX to place 5th in the final. In the 450 Pro class, Kyle was #1 qualifier and got the holeshot on the first start ready to take it to the checkers, but that start was redflagged due to an anxious rider! On the restart, Kyle's didn't get the holeshot he needed and ended up 3rd in the final! In Open Pro, Kyle's first big race on the 750, he was lined up on the 3rd row with a field of 18 pro riders from Canada and USA. Being a cushion track, if you're not our front, you must deal with "spray"- meaning paint chipping stonedust that generally propels itself directly at your face shield! Kyle managed to work his way through the tough conditions and finish a respectable 12th!

Aug 18-19 took us to our favorite track- Circleville, Ohio! Cody's debut on the 250 shows he has what it takes to be a dirt tracker, finishing 2nd on Saturday and 3rd on Sunday! Travis finished with a 1st, a second and two 3rd's in Open Am and Open Money still riding his backup bike! Kyle took top honors on both days winning Pro Sport on his C & J Honda and Open Pro on the big Harley 750!

Aug 28-29- Kevin Schwantz Road Racing School- Kyle and Travis took a breather from the dirt to attend road racing school at Road Atlanta in Georgia. What an awesome time! This school is highly recommended for anyone- even street riders! You're grouped according to experience- beginner to advanced. Kyle and Travis were put in the advanced group based on their dirt track experience. The boys excelled (accelled!) at speeds up to 160mph! Yes, this is a controlled environment! Excellent instructors and excellent track- sign yourself up for this ultimate extreme riding school!

Sept. 9-10- Circleville, OH- Travis stayed home for football practice this weekend, so Kyle and Cody brought home the trophies! Kyle won Pro sport Sat. and Sunday on his C & J 450, but had to park the 750 due to mechanical issues. Cody had his best and worst days wrapped up in one weekend. On only his 3rd race on the 250, he took 1st place on Saturday and 1st place on his 80. On Sunday, Cody took 1st place again on the 250! Unfortunately, in his last race of the weekend on his 80, he highsided in turn four and took a hard hit. A visit to Mt Carmel Hospital in Columbus resulted in a mild concussion and sprained ankle. Cody is recuperating at home. We want to thank everyone for their concern and special thanks to our fellow racers and friends from Ohio- you are the BEST!!
