Wyman Racing – July-August

 

July 1-7 Amateur Grand National Championships – DuQuoin, Illinois

 

            Cody 1^st year on the 250 at the Grands – Placed 11^th overall in 250 mod 2-stroke. His best finish was 6^th on his favorite – the Half Mile. Congratulations Cody!

            Travis competed in 250 mod 4-stroke, 450 DTX, and 450 Mod. His best day was the first day on the mile. 250 4stroke: 3^rd, 450 DTX: 5^th, 450 Mod: 3^rd.

            Day 2: Short Track. 250 4stroke: 8^th, 450 Mod: 8^th.

            Day 3: TT. 250 4stroke: 8^th, 450 DTX: 12^th, 450 Mod: 12^th.

In Travis’ 450 Mod final, he was running for third and grenaded the motor which left us without a 450 for the 450 DTX final. An emotional day knowing we had lost our chances at the Horizon Award.

            Day 4: Half Mile. 250 4stroke: 4^th, 450 DTX: 4^th, 450 Mod: 4^th. Just one place off the podium in all three classes.

 

Travis overall:

            250 4stroke: 4^th of 29

            450 DTX: 7^th of 20

            450 Mod: 5^th of 32

 

            Racing against the best kids in the country for a week straight proved that Travis has what it takes to be a top contender. Our mechanical breakdown was our worst enemy this week. Congratulations, Travis on your drive and determination!

 

London, Ontario, Canada Half Mile 7/20/07

 

            Travis put the nationals behind him and dominated in Canada winning the 450 Intermediate and Open Intermediate classes. Cody placed 4^th in Junior 450 and 5^th in Junior Open competing on a 250cc! Kyle’s debut back after his neck/back injury was awesome! He placed 8^th in 450 Pro and 12^th in Open Pro on the Harley-Davidson 750!

            Cody: 5^th in Junior 450, 7^th in Junior Open

            Travis: 2^nd in Intermediate 450, 5^th in Open Intermediate

            Kyle: 6^th in 450 Pro, 6^th in Open Pro

 

Our local track: Medina TT The season has ended.

July 29^th- The Pat Blount Memorial Race – A race all the racers want to win! The Big Winner, Travis!

250 Am- 1^st, Open Am, 4^th, Pat Blount Grand Prix- 1^st

Cody: 250 Am- 10^th

Kyle’s first race back at Medina this year – Yes, he’s back in race form!

            250 Expert: 4^th, Open Expert: 5^th

 

August 5^th at Medina Once again for the Harvey Morrison Memorial Race

            Kyle and Travis competed with each other in the Grand Prix with little brother

            Travis taking 3^rd and Kyle 4^th!

Results for the day:

            Travis: 250 Am 1^st, Open Am 2^nd

            Kyle: 250 Expert 2^nd, Open Expert 3^rd
